Overview

Project SummaryLMC Creative Concept developed the complete brand identity for Pet Cuisine from scratch — including logo design, illustration system, full packaging design across all product variants, point-of-sale display units, social media design, and campaign materials. The result is a cohesive, shelf-ready brand with a strong visual personality that stands out in a competitive pet food market.

Case Study: Pet Cuisine — Complete Brand Identity & Packaging Design

Client: Pet Cuisine GmbH
Services: Brand Identity, Logo Design, Packaging Design, Point of Sale Design, Social Media Design
Industry: Pet Food, FMCG, Retail

The Challenge

A new pet food brand entering a crowded German market needed to stand out on the shelf — and online. The brief was ambitious: build an entire brand from zero. No existing identity, no design language, no packaging. Just a product philosophy centered on high-quality, honest ingredients and genuine love for pets.

The challenge wasn't just to look good. It was to communicate trust, warmth, and quality at a glance — in a category dominated by generic stock photography and corporate sameness.

The Approach

The creative direction for Pet Cuisine was built around one core idea: food made with personality. Rather than leaning into clinical health messaging or over-polished lifestyle imagery, the brand embraces character and warmth. The hand-drawn dog and cat illustrations give the brand an immediately recognizable face — playful without being childish, premium without being cold.

The logo pairs a custom wordmark with a small illustrated bowl, keeping the brand grounded in its purpose while giving it room to be expressive. Every design decision was made to feel like it came from people who actually love animals — not from a marketing department.

The Identity & Packaging

The packaging system is where the brand truly comes alive. Each product variant gets its own distinct color — warm terracotta for hearty wild game, sage green for sensitive recipes, deep rose for pure beef, golden yellow for light poultry — making it immediately easy to navigate at the shelf while creating a striking visual family when seen together.

The illustrated dog adapts across each variant, always recognizable, always on-brand. Typography is bold and friendly, product names clear and direct. Key claims — 65–70% meat content, no added sugar, Vitamin D3+E — are woven into the design without cluttering it.

Beyond the can: point-of-sale display units, social media content, campaign visuals, and promotional materials were all developed within the same visual language — ensuring the brand communicates consistently whether a customer sees it in a pet store or scrolling Instagram.

The Result

Pet Cuisine launched with a complete, retail-ready brand identity across every touchpoint. The packaging system is modular, scalable, and distinct enough to own shelf space in a competitive category. The social media design system allows the brand to communicate promotions, product stories, and brand values without ever losing its personality.

From can to content — a brand that pet owners actually want to buy from.
